1.What we collect
From clients, we collect the information you enter in your intake brief — including your gender, age, region, what you’re seeking, goals, preferences, budget tier, free-text context, and email address. From matchmakers, we collect your business profile, contact details, and the contents of your proposals and messages.
2.How we use it
We use your information to operate the platform: matching client briefs to relevant matchmakers, delivering proposals and messages, sending transactional email (such as your private access link), and preventing abuse.
3.What matchmakers can see
Before you choose a matchmaker, they see only a minimal brief — region, broad age, who you’re seeking, goals, timeline, budget tier, and any optional context you provide. They do not see your email, exact name, or other identifying details until you choose to work with them.
4.Data retention
We retain requests, proposals, and messages for as long as needed to operate the platform and meet legal obligations. Open briefs expire after 30 days of inactivity. You may request deletion at any time (see below).
5.Your right to deletion
To request access to or deletion of your data, email support@matchalmanac.com from the address on file. We’ll remove your brief, proposals, and messages except where we’re required to retain records.
6.Third parties
We use service providers to run the platform — for example, email delivery and payment processing. They receive only the data needed to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
